Affiliate Disclosure
Effective date: July 7, 2026
MatchMyVehicle is free to use. To keep it that way, this site may earn money in the ways described below. We believe you deserve to know exactly how, in plain language.
Affiliate links
Some links on MatchMyVehicle are affiliate links. If you click one and then make a purchase or sign up for a service — for example, buying a vehicle history report, applying for an auto loan or insurance quote, or purchasing through a marketplace — we may earn a commission from that company. This never costs you anything extra. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go to the site directly.
Advertising
This site may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks. Advertisers do not have access to the cars you compare or the VINs you decode, which stay in your own browser as described in our Privacy Policy.
Our independence
Commissions do not change what we build or recommend. The marketplaces MatchMyVehicle links to are included because car shoppers use them — not because they pay us (most of them don't). Where we do recommend a paid service, such as a vehicle history report provider, we only include services we consider legitimate and useful, and the free government alternatives (like NHTSA's VIN and recall databases) are always presented alongside them.
No affiliation with marketplaces
MatchMyVehicle is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kelley Blue Book, Cars.com, CarGurus, Autotrader, CarMax, Carvana, eBay, Meta, Edmunds, or any dealership. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
